Board of Directors & HQ

The formation of the Rebellion came from the idea that everyone in a supporter group has something to offer and can contribute, and the members that make up Rebellion HQ have always reflected that. As a fluid organization allowing people to offer help when they can and contribute to what they feel they offer most, Rebellion HQ has been there along the way to help guide anyone who wanted to help grow the supporter culture in New England. We believe that with formal By-Laws and electing our Board of Directors, we put ourselves in an even better position to not only continue the growth of an amazing soccer hotbed, but make even greater strides forward.

E-Board

John Bracewell - President

John has always been heavily interested in New England sports. While watching the 2014 MLS All-Star Game he saw that the New England Revolution was able to acquire Jermaine Jones, John thought he should attend a game. John and his buddies went to a game a couple of weeks later and he was hooked. He went to almost all of the remaining home games in 2014 and every home game of the 2014 playoff run. Since then John has been a season ticket holder since 2015.

John joined the Rebellion during the 2014 season and has been a member ever since. In 2021 John joined the Rebellion HQ as the Community Service Chair because he wanted to help grow the organization and help out with their charity work. In 2021 John helped the Rebellion raise $3,800 for Project Goal to support the Central Falls Mini Pitch Initiative. On his journey in the Rebellion John became the Webmaster to change the site and add a bigger presence online. During that year John assisted Community Service and Tailgating to help make events bigger and better for the members. In 2023 John ran for Rebellion Vice President and joined the Eboard. He helped oversee all of the committees and ran the Rebellion store online along with being under the member tent for all home games. In 2024 John ran for Rebellion President and is looking forward to helping the Rebellion grow to new heights! If you are looking for John in lot 3B chances are you will find him under the welcome tent! Come stop by and say hi!

Besides supporting the New England Revolution, John supports Leicester City F.C. He also supports the Boston Celtics, Boston Bruins, Boston Red Sox, and the Providence Friars.

David Rodriguez - Vice President

David is a huge soccer fan and has been a Revs fan since 2016. He went to his first game, a 0-0 against D.C. United, which started his journey of regularly attending the games at Gillette. David joined the Rebellion in 2019. He wasn’t all too sure about being part of a supporters group at first, but the more he got into the Revs and MLS he knew he had to join one. The Rebellion just seemed to be what he wanted to be a part of with how active they were on social media and fan involvement.

He supports Arsenal, Barcelona, and Independiente Santa Fe (his hometown team from Colombia). He is always down to talk soccer so come say hi!!

Danny Jimenez- Treasurer

Danny is our resident transplant New England fan. Originally from New York he grew up watching and playing soccer from a young age. He went to his first Revolution game in 2022 and immediately fell in love. Quickly joining the Rebellion HQ to become more involved and became a permanent fixture in the fort generally yelling every chant and complaining about calls. You can always find him in the lot probably eating and looking for a good conversation. Danny is also a fan of the Boston Bruins and will reluctantly watch the Patriots from time to time.

Catherine Gallager - Secretary

Catherine played soccer for a couple years as a child in, Ohio, but it wasn’t until moving to Germany and arriving in the middle of their World Cup in 2006 that she truly fell in love with the game. Her children joined a local soccer team, and one of them even stuck with it through high school, making Catherine not only a fan but a soccer mom. She spent many years moving around the world thanks to her husband Shaun who was in the military, watching whatever game was available nearby or on TV. In 2013 she attended her first MLS game in Dallas Texas where FC Dallas played Real Salt Lake. It wasn’t until the Summer of 2014 when Catherine and her family moved to Cape Cod after her husband’s retirement and attended her first Revolution game that she finally found a team to call her own. She became a Season ticket holder in 2019 and has been a member of the Rebellion for 2 years.

Along with the Revolution, Catherine is a fan of most Cleveland sports teams and US Soccer. She will still watch any soccer game on television, usually rooting for the teams near the places she’s lived if they aren’t playing team USA or the Revolution.

  • Tabatha Varcadaipane - Away Days Co-Chair

Tabatha has always loosely followed a variety of sports before coming to her first Revolution game back in 2022. After just one game she found a love for not only the sport but the family-like atmosphere in the lot and the fort. She enjoys bringing her kids to games and has a passion for traveling to new stadiums and seeing new places. You can usually find her in the fort being a mom or at the concession stands herding kids to get food.

  • James Casella - Away Days Co-Chair

Born and raised in Seacoast New Hampshire, James was deeply immersed in New England sports culture growing up. It wasn’t until the 2006 World Cup that he was hooked on soccer and in May 2010 attended his first Revs match against the Red Bulls. A close admirer of the team despite moving to Tennessee in 2017, James was recruited by the Rebellion and introduced to Always Away Days in 2021 and has been a member of the Rebellion ever since.

As well as a soccer and soccer culture enthusiast, James is a long time motorsports fan and grassroots racer. He is an active volunteer for stage rally racing in Appalachia and working to help bring the World Rally Championship to East Tennessee.

As well as the Revs, James closely follows One Knoxville SC of USL League 1 and is a member of the Knox Scruffs. He also follows Manchester United, Karlsruher SC of 2 Bundesliga, and has a fan friendship with supporters of SC Preußen Munster of 3 Liga.

  • Ryan Wallace - Communication and Social Media Co-Chair

Ryan Wallace is an avid Revolution fan dating back to 2009. On a whim, he started a save on FIFA as the Revs’ manager and never looked back! It took until 2018, but Ryan finally moved from Nevada to the New England area and immediately got season tickets. The Revolution is central to Ryan’s life as he met his closest friends and his wife through the Revolution. Outside of soccer, Ryan is a second-year law student at Northeastern University School of Law with a focus on Criminal Justice and Constitutional Law. Ryan’s social media accounts are currently in flux thanks to Twitter, well Twitter.

  • Maeve Wallace - Communication & Social Media Co-Chair

Born and raised in Massachusetts, being a sports fan came naturally for Maeve. Looking to broaden her horizons after the COVID-19 lockdown, Maeve went to her first Revolution game in 2021 and instantly became hooked. She immediately became a season ticket holder and is entering her third season as a Rebellion member. Along with the Revolution, she is also a Chelsea FC fan.

Outside of Lot 3B, Maeve is a diehard hockey fan (go Bruins and PWHL Boston!). She is also an undergraduate student at Suffolk University studying Public Relations and Sports Marketing and an E-board member of her school's radio club. When she’s not stuck in Boston traffic or on the T, Maeve also enjoys baking, curating Pinterest boards and playlists, and hanging out with her friends, family, and her dog Jax.

  • Barrett Ison - Community Service Co-Chair

Barrett attended his first Revs match in 2014 with his younger brother. He has since been attending a handful of matches each season. This is Barrett’s first year as a full-season ticket holder. In 2016, he joined the Rebellion and after a few seasons as a casual member has decided to try and be more than a voice in the crowd.

Barrett grew up in Plymouth, MA and played in the local youth leagues until high school. He fell away from the game for a while, peeking in for the World Cup, but didn’t get invested in anything else. In about 2006, he met a group of people who played in an indoor league and Barrett quickly rediscovered his love of the game.

When not watching or attending Revs matches, Barrett watches the Premier League and supports LFC. He has attended a few matches when they came over for exhibitions and ICC games. He hopes to get to attend a match in Anfield sometime soon.

  • Liz Barrett- Community Service Co-Chair

Liz became a soccer fan during the pandemic, traveling to Montréal for her first in person game experience in February of 2020. She had always been a passive sports fan. Her partner Denis, being a long time Revolution and international soccer fan, had opened the door to a whole new world of fandom. The shared experiences with a passionate and tight knit community made her feel welcomed without judgment. She quickly became a regular at tailgates and joined in chants in the Fort. She regularly plans trips with her partner to away games to show her support of the Revs. Getting to know the Rebellion and their shared interest in community and charity made her decide to try her hand at a more committed involvement with the fan group.

She is a relatively new Rebellion member joining the fan group in 2022 and became a season ticket holder this year. Liz hails from Massachusetts and enjoys watching the Patriots and Bruins but has yet to find an international soccer team to call her own. Outside of soccer Liz enjoys hiking, kayaking, camping, traveling, and long country drives around New England.

  • Emily MacDonald - Community Service Co-Chair

Emily has been a Revolution fan for as long as she can remember. Growing up a huge sports fan in the Boston area, and having a deep love for soccer, supporting the Revolution started very early. Attending as many matches as she could year after year, and having fond memories for each era of the Revolution over the past couple of decades (yes, even the Friedel era), that love only grew over time. It wasn’t until the start of 2023 though, that she became a season ticket holder and a Rebellion member, after wanting to be more involved with Revolution fandom.

Emily is also an avid supporter of Liverpool FC, as well as the men’s and women’s US national teams. Outside of soccer, she is a fan of all the Boston sports teams, especially the Sox, and has a passion for film, music, cars, and climbing.

  • Kerry Miller - Events Co-Chair

Kerry grew up rooting for all the Boston/NE sports teams, but didn't discover the Revolution until 2015. She sat in some random seats for her first game and didn't know anything about the team, the sport or supporter culture. Now, she wouldn't be anywhere other than the Fort standing and chanting for 90 minutes!

Kerry supports the men's and women's US national teams and occasionally watches Premier League, but the Revs and MLS are her favorite. She has been a Revs season ticket holder since 2016 and is going into her second year as a member of the Rebellion.

Kerry is native New Englander and other than soccer, she loves traveling, writing, cooking/baking and gardening.

  • Ashley Bracewell - Events Co-Chair

Ever since John dragged Ashley to almost half of Revolution games in 2018 she fell in love with the Revolution and the Rebellion. She has been part of the Rebellion family since 2019 and loves every aspect of the togetherness, She enjoys all of the friends she has made in Lot 3B over the years and hopes to make even more this year!

One of the most memorable moments she has as a fan was November 7th, 2021 when the Revolution accepted the shield from the supporter groups and confetti rained down into the fort.

In her free time, she loves to spend time with John and their daughter Lily (lot kid) who you will see scootering all over Lot 3b.

  • Nate Murphy - In Stadium Experience Chair

Nathan grew up playing basically every sport he could like every other kid but the sport he fell in love with was soccer. He knew soccer was the one for him and he put all his energy into soccer. He was watching it, playing it, dreaming of it, his whole life was soccer growing up. Nathan started out playing town soccer and eventually found a club team in FC Stars, at around 8 years old. His first coach for FC Stars was from England and grew up in Liverpool and was a diehard Liverpool supporter and that is where Nathan’s love for Liverpool comes from. Living and breathing soccer encouraged Nathan and his family to check out the New England Revolution where they immediately fell in love with the team, the supporters and everything in between. Nathan has grown up in the fort since attending his first game in 2010. He and his family have been bringing the fight for the boys in blue by chanting, drumming and capo’ing for the Rebellion.

An interesting fact about his personal life is that he spent 2022-2023 working for the Walt Disney company down in Florida participating in their college program which is why you didn’t see him in the fort. He can’t wait to see what this year has in store for the Revs and the Rebellion!

  • Jaydon Perez - In Stadium Experience Co-Chair

Jaydon has always been involved with the game of soccer ever since he could walk. The first ball he ever held onto when he was a child was a soccer ball ever since then he has fallen in love with the game of Soccer and has been surrounded by the game of soccer for his entire life. Growing up in Western Massachusetts, Jaydon played soccer for the town of Amherst, before moving on to playing club soccer with the Pioneer Valley Storm as well as the Western United Pioneers, where he found his home for club soccer. During his time in Western Massachusetts playing for his high school, Jaydon was a two-time varsity player, and following his high school playing career he moved on to play division three college soccer at Lasell University where he just finished his final season of playing college ball.

Back in 2021, Jaydon decided that he was going to finally join the revolution as a fully committed season ticket member, and going into his fourth season as a season ticket member he doesn’t look back at it other than being happy that he decided to join the Revolution as a season-ticket member. Jaydon’s most memorable moment of being a New England rebellion member as well as a Revolution season member was back in 2021 when Tajon tied the game up with under five minutes remaining in overtime to send the game to a penalty kick against NYCFC. Even though the game didn’t come out the way he wanted it to from that moment on, he knew he found his home with the Rebellion by being surrounded by fellow rebellion members who were feeling the same pain he was. A fun fact about Jaydon is that back in 2022 he got engaged at Disney World to his fiancé Heather who is also a beloved Rebellion member. The only other team that Jaydon supports is Chelsea FC.

  • Dave Matrisciano - In Stadium Experience Co-Chair

Dave started attending Revs games in 1999-2000 when his brother's youth teams were invited. He then started to go to games regularly and was instantly hooked. He chose to support the Revs because it was a local team for him and now it has become his lifelong passion.

Dave has been a Rebellion member since year one and a Season Ticket Holder since 2002.

If Dave is not at a soccer/football/baseball game you can find him on a golf course or playing his saxophone in wedding bands and bar bands.

Other than the Revs, Dave supports all of the US National teams, Arsenal and Napoli.

  • Tim Batzinger - Merchandise Chair

Tim has been a revs fan since day 1. He was lucky that he was coming of age as a sports fan during the revs glory days between ‘02-’08 which made it easy to be a revs fan, as well as them being my local team. He is a graphic designer and grew up in Rhode Island. As a big New England sports fan and a supporter of URI basketball and Brown soccer, traveling all over is a normal practice for him.

He has various levels of support for different clubs around the world, but the main ones are Manchester United in England and Werder Bremen in German

  • Adrian Heinsohn-roe - Media Chair

Adrian fell in love with soccer at an early age. He quickly became a goalkeeper and continued playing that position through high school. Adrian enjoyed weekends on the soccer field playing with a club team and refereeing. While in high school Adrian also enjoyed throwing shot put and discus. Adrian was introduced to the New England Revolution by his beloved club soccer coaches while in middle school. He attended many games with them and then for his birthday received season tickets. It was not long before he was driving himself to the games and making many fellow Revolution friends. He continues to love the supporters and spending games in the Fort. Adrian enjoys traveling to a few away games during the season, intending to attend one at each away stadium.

When not at the Revs games Adrian is a professional photographer. He enjoys taking sports photos for local youth, and high school games. He plays soccer in a few local adult leagues. Adrian also volunteers his time coaching the high school soccer, and indoor/outdoor track teams.

Adrian was blessed to have a press pass to photograph home games for the supporters last season and looks forward to this season. Seeing the games through his pictures of the players and fans is a great joy.

  • Rob Chevalier - Membership Chair

Rob has loved soccer since he can remember shooting on the little pringle goals as a kid, and has attended Revolution games since middle school. It took him until 2016 to become a weekly viewer though. His favorite Revolution memory has to be the 2 NYCFC games at the end of the 2019 season. Traveling to Yankee Stadium (MLS’s WORST venue) with the Rebellion and losing being down 10 men for most of the game (with a Red card being reversed the next week), to 3 weeks later winning the game to clinch a Playoff berth, revenge never felt so good. After Bou’s chip, Gillette went NUTS! He joined the Rebellion in 2018 and didn’t look back. Rebels are so inviting, and he has made great friends tailgating in the Lot, traveling for away games (NYCFC and the Maple Syrup Derby), and cheering on the team in The Fort.

Along with the Revs, he supports the rest of the New England Teams (Patriots, Bruins, Celtics, and Red Sox) and some European soccer teams (Liverpool and Bayern Munich).

  • Denis Gagnon - Tailgating Co-Chair

Denis grew up in a football family, played football, and thought nothing of soccer, until, at the urging of some friends, stayed up late every night to watch the 2002 World Cup. He was mesmerized by the magic of Ronaldinho and Landon Donovan and never looked back. His first Revs game was in 2006 and he was immediately taken in by the fun-loving, passionate, and giving community that exists in the Gillette Stadium parking lot. Since then that love affair has seen him travel and drink from California to Atlanta, Toronto to Orlando, New Britain to Montréal, all while singing of the Glory of New England.

A proud Nutmegger whose love of the Revolution is matched only by his love of Connecticut, Denis was born and raised in the Thread City of Willimantic.

  • Mike Collins - Tailgating Co-Chair

Attending Revolution matches since 2018, STH since 2019, Mike shows all the heart and enthusiasm of a lifelong fan. You will always find him at the tailgate, with his One Piece pirate flag flying, in rain, snow, or shine or on the road, as often as he can, following the team.

Mike also follows West Ham United in EPL, US and Irish National Teams and Irish, Munster, London Irish, and Harlequin Rugby. Outside football, Mike enjoys music, anime, fandom culture, and home brewing.

  • Cory Cloutier - Technology Chair

Playing soccer back in his hometown of Charlton, MA was one of the first memories Cory had as a child. Soccer has been revolving around his life ever since. Cory played through high school, was a youth/adult referee and is still a D1 and D3 college referee. Cory’s first MLS experience was going to the first-ever MLS cup at Foxboro Stadium. At that point, he was hooked. After college, he moved closer to the stadium and decided to get more involved. Cory is a long time season ticket holder and a Rebellion member since 2014.

Along with the Revs, Cory watches most New England teams, Bryant University Athletics and Arsenal. Cory currently lives in Mansfield, MA with his wife Kasey.

To them, the Revs are their extended family.

  • Kelsey Theroux - Advisor

Kelsey experienced her first New England Revolution Match mid-season in 2010. After that one match, she fell in love with the atmosphere and team. From the connections made in 2010, she was introduced to the Rebellion in 2011. What she admired most about the Rebellion was their sense of unity and passion. She has been a member ever since. Kelsey has worked with many organizations such as The American Lung Association, Little Sisters of the Poor, Muscular Dystrophy Association, and Day One. Her knowledge of Community outreach and her current position of managing accounts at a local credit union will bring different ideas to help the Rebellion build. Her number one goal is to bring back the same atmosphere she once felt, and sense of family to support the Revs.

Kelsey’s passion for the game has grown over the years, which has drawn her to support more club in other leagues. She also follows Chelsea FC in the EPL and Galatasaray S.K in the Super Liga.

  • Michael Simone - Advisor

After experiencing his first New England Revolution Match in The Fort back in late 2010, Mike became a casual member of the Rebellion in 2011 joining full time in 2012.

"Experiencing the NYRB trip in 2011 is what truly got me hooked to becoming a Rebellion member. Being part of 200 or so Revs fans getting up at the crack of dawn, hopping on buses to go down to New Jersey, marching and singing from the pub to the stadium, was just an incredible experience and one I will never forget".

Michael's passion for the sport of soccer is unrivaled and as a past Community Director for the March of Dimes and Vice President of Marketing for the Rhode Island Reds FC, Michael brings a wide range of experience and skills to The Rebellion.

"I look forward to getting to know each of you. My goal is to enhance the supporter experience and make each of you fall in love with the group as I did back in 2011. We support the New England Revolution first, but more importantly, we support each other second."

Besides supporting the New England Revolution, Michael follows Liverpool in the EPL, Juventus in Serie A, FC St. Pauli in Bundesliga 2, and the Rhode Island Reds in the NPSL.
