Pride on the Rise
June is upon us and with that comes our next big fundraising event for 2023. This year we brought it to a new level of event planning. From now through July 1, we have chosen to help raise funds for Greater Boston PFLAG. This organization aims to create a more diverse and inclusive society for our friends in the LGBTQ community.
As a part of our effort to accomplish this, we will be offering many avenues for you to get involved. Below you will find the various efforts we are putting together for the month.
Prideraiser is an amazing group working with multiple Supporter Groups to do a joint effort in fundraising and awareness. This season we have joined them to have individuals make a pledge to our fundraiser found here. You can opt to pledge a dollar amount of your choice for each Revolution goal scored during this campaign. There are 5 games during this time frame. If they score 15 goals in 5 games, and you pledge $2, then you will be pledging to donate $30.
At each home tailgate in June, we are holding a coin drive to add to our total donations. Be sure to check those couch cushions before you head to the games. Please drop off all coins at the Rebellion tent in lot 3B.
On July 14th we are hosting a Drag Bingo at Black Sheep (in Providence). Purchase your ticket below asap as spots are limited (the entire ticket price is being donated).
Our yearly pride shirts are officially in. This year’s shirt brings in our “Bury Me in the Pines” theme with a tree as the center of it all. The tree represents life and love as we grow #StrongerTogether as a community.
On July 1st we are hosting a “Pints for Pride” watch party at our Worcester bar (Bolands).
In addition to the above, our board wanted to do something special as a group so we are going to be in the Boston Pride parade later this month! If you are planning on attending the parade, be sure to say hi as we walk by.
