A great atmosphere during a game is exhilarating. The banter, cheering, drumming, ooh’s and ahh’s can really help boost team morale on the pitch. Last year was a tough one. Prerecorded cheering and no fans in the stands not only made it hard on supporters but made it hard on teams. During those long jarring months, the players made it known they could feel our support virtually. Although they made it known, it didn’t satisfy our drive to make them feel supported.
Over this season, we have really tried to strive to make supporters and players feel, “Stronger Together.” We did this in two different ways, raising every players national flag in the stands and creating innovative player shirts. This year we have come out with designs for our players to help create unity. Each design has been well thought out on ways to make each player feel supported and our supporters feel included. We hope to be able to come up with a design for all players in the future.
