Rebels Party at The Rebellion Oktoberfest Tailgate!
The Rebellion Oktoberfest always promises to be one of the best events of the year and 2026 lived up to the billing! The New England weather was perfect as we saw a new Stein Hoist champion, played some new lot games, and had great beers and good food before supporting our Revs to an incredible, late 4-2 victory over Orlando at Fortress Foxborough!
The tailgate kicked off with some delicious bratwurst and pretzels cooked on the grills by our incredible Rebellion Tailgate Team, a special highlight was the homemade beer cheese that was made with Phantom Farm’s Extra Time Lager! The generosity of Rebels and their Commitment to a Good Time was evident with the ample open coolers brought to share, the lot was brimming with Sam Adams Octoberfest, Phantom Farm’s Festbier and Extra Time Lager (Good Use of that 15% Discount!), and lots of other great New England beers! A special shoutout to our friends from Boland’s Bar and Patio in Worcester for making their way out to their first home game and bringing a giant cooler for all Rebels! As always, every Revs match is on at Boland’s, and we host all of our Away Match Parties down in the Canal District!
A big hit at the tailgate was the binho boards brought by our friends from the Worcester Binho Club, an absolutely electric time was had! If you’ve never played binho is a wicked exciting 2-playertabletop game that involves flicking tiny soccer balls to score goals. Everyone was trying their best to flick a goal, get the hang of it, and having a great time while doing that! We at The Rebellion had a ton of fun and want to thank the guys at Worcester Binho Club for coming and sharing and look forward to playing again in the Lot or at Boland’s! The highlight of the tailgate is our annual Rebellion Stein Hoist Competition, and this year was wicked intense. The competition is to hold out a filled-to-the-brim stein with a straight arm for as long as you can without spilling beer or having your arm not stay straight. The person who can outlast all the other competitors walks away with a custom glass Rebellion Stein Hoist Champion stein and this year it was Jake Orofino from Quincy! Jake outlasted a loaded field in an intense competition, and his name will forever echo in The Rebellion Oktoberfest annals! Congrats Jake!
Thank you to all you Rebels for coming out and supporting the Lot and The Rebellion Oktoberfest, vibes were astronomically high walking into Gillette and that was evident in a Fort that was as loud as it’s been this season, and our Boys on the pitch responded by bagging two late goals to win 4-2 over Orlando. Prost!
