Rebellion Board Statement Regarding Columbus Crew SC Relocation

Supporters are what sets soccer in America apart from the other professional sports and no one knows that more than the leadership of Major League Soccer. This can be demonstrated by the fact that supporters are the cornerstone of almost all marketing efforts from the league. Even during spells of bad club performance, supporters help to maintain a fertile environment where casual fans can be exposed to the soccer culture and can be transformed into passionate die hard supporters. The relationship that is built up around a club from the ownership, front office, the players, and down through the supporters and casual fans helps to build and reinforce a closely knit community of people with a shared passion.

However, breaking that relationship has consequences.

2nd Annual Rebellion General Assembly

Greetings Rebels!

On Saturday, January 26th at 2PM, we will be hosting our 3rd annual Rebellion General Assembly at Brass Monkey. For any of you who are unfamiliar with what this is, here is the breakdown:

The What:

Now’s a chance for you to learn about the inner workings of the Rebellion. It’ll also give you the chance to ask questions, provide feedback, suggest ideas,  and find out how to get involved with Rebel HQ in a quieter, less chaotic setting than the tailgate lot, in The Fort, or at an away match watch party. Items on the agenda include:

  • Overview of the 2018 season Rebellion activities/accomplishments

  • Goals for 2019

  • Review bylaws and board voting procedures

  • Question and answers

The Where:

Brass Monkey (800 Allens Ave in Providence) has been the Providence home for our away watch parties and other events. The staff is fantastic, the food is amazing, and Oscar (the owner) has been so great to us and done so much to help make us feel welcomed. Come enjoy some great food, drink, and company.

The When:

Saturday January 26th at 2PM

The Who:

ALL OF YOU! The Revs season will be starting soon, with preseason camp kicking off shorty. Think of this as a great excuse to meet up with old friends, make new ones, and get ready for the Revs 2018 season.

We’ll see you January 20th!

Unable to attend? Ask a question anyway! Fill out the form below and we'll answer your question during the General Assembly. Also, we'll share with you the meeting minutes and get our response to your question.

Closing Out 2017 Strong

Well Rebels, for the second consecutive year, we won’t get any playoff soccer at Gillette. I know I know, we are just as disappointed as you are. As always, the season began with high hopes, but some poor performances, some bad bounces, and some questionable calls have kept the Revs out of the playoffs again and have likely increased your blood pressure. It’s not over yet! We have two games left and we say that we make the most of them. We won’t have Revolution soccer until March of next year, so let’s enjoy what we have left with our fellow Rebels before the long winter sets in.

First ever Rebellion "Suit Up" - October 2010

First ever Rebellion "Suit Up" - October 2010

Sunday October 15th - Suit Up!

This coming Sunday is our final home game of 2017 and our annual “Suit Up” match. A Rebellion tradition born in the dark days of 2010 will continue as we remind everyone that we may not have the best team in MLS (statistically speaking), but we will have the best dressed supporters. Come wearing your Sunday’s best. We’ll look dapper AF as we give our boys a proper home send off for the season.

Suday October 22nd - We Ride North!

The following week is our annual Montreal trip and final game of the 2017 season. A great trip that turns fans into supporters, supporters into diehards, and diehards into well, I don’t know, super diehards? That didn’t work out as I planned. Just join us north of the border! Check out this Montreal post for logistics and ticket info.

PS: Our friends in 1642 MTL will be returning the favor of hosting us before the match!

See you there, eh?

Rebellion Bake-Off for Sierra Leone

Rebellion Bake-Off for Sierra Leone

On August 14, 2017, massive flooding caused mudslides and devastation in the Sierra Leone capital of Freetown, leaving more than 400 people dead and hundreds more homeless.

Not long after, our Revs own Sierra Leone native, Kei Kamara, put out the call for people to help. He asked those who were able to donate to his Heart Shaped Hands Foundation to aid in the relief effort, even promising to match all donations.
